The Jon Madof Trio

The Jon Madof Trio is the latest project from guitarist and composer Jon Madof — a frequent collaborator of John Zorn and founder of the genre-blending bands Zion80 and Rashanim. Praised by The New York Times as “a truly soulful experience” and described by The Village Voice as “a marvelous mashup,” Madof has brought his unique sound to stages around the world, including the Krakow Jewish Culture Festival, Sarajevo Jazz Festival, and The Village Vanguard.

Drawing inspiration from avant-garde jazz, post-rock, minimalist classical, and traditional Jewish music, the Jon Madof Trio features a powerhouse lineup: Yoshie Fruchter (Sandcatchers, David Krakauer) on bass and Aaron Alexander (Frank London’s Klezmer Brass All-Stars, Itzhak Perlman) on drums.
